Hyssop is one of the most well-known biblical herbs. It is used extensively for purification and/or in workings involving clearing. Can be added to; baths, infusions, and mixtures to cleanse objects and persons, and can also be hung in the home to purge evil and negativity.  In biblical times sprigs were used to paint lamb's blood on homes of Hebrews in Egypt and in the Middle Ages bouquets were hung on doors.

Medicinal Uses - Used as an expectorant for coughing, sore throats, and chest infections hyssop has antiseptic, antispasmodic, and bactericidal (kills bacteria) properties.  Used for cuts, inflammation, and bruises.  Can be used for irregular periods.  Also useful in the treatment of low blood pressure and can be beneficial for stress and anxiety problems.
